I started Brave Care with a commitment to making sure kids get the best medical care and the chance to reach their potential. Each and every provider at Brave Care has been selected by me personally to help us continue our mission. I know you’ll be just as impressed by their knowledge and compassion as I am. They’ve all received top degrees and certifications and below are some of the attributes that I personally appreciate about each provider.
We’re honored to continue to take the best care of your little ones, and as we open additional clinics in the Portland area and expand to new states, it will always be one of our highest priorities to hire pediatric providers that give your child the highest quality, most comfortable and happiest care.

Kelly Muñoz

Kelly has been with Brave Care since she left training. In the time she has been with us, it's clear that she has an incredible talent for pediatric care. Even when she was brand new, she picked up on some very subtle but serious illnesses that even seasoned providers could miss. Kelly is super friendly and ALWAYS smiling.
Hayley Byington

Due to her training as an Air Force flight nurse, Hayley knows how to keep calm under pressure. She’s incredibly thoughtful and always knows just the right questions to ask parents.
Chelsea Roberts
(She/Her)
Chelsea has been practicing as long as I have. She possesses a depth and breadth of knowledge, she’s efficient, friendly and amazingly skilled with procedures such as stitches or fracture care.
Marcus Gabriel Jr.
(He/Him)
Marcus is our newest provider but quickly becoming loved by patients and coworkers alike. He’s a great example of what we look for in a provider, and has already skillfully managed several highly complicated cases.
Whitney Bowser
(She/Her)
Like myself, Whitney moved from a rural practice where she practiced completely and totally independently and was the first and last line of the defense for kids' health. Whitney is funny, engaging, and friendly.
Danielle Strehlow

Danielle is so thoughtful! She takes time to process and think through all information in order to help you make the best decisions for your child’s health. She has a great sense of humor that adults and kids alike appreciate.
Sarah Matney
(She/Her)
Sarah is a newer addition to Brave Care but built a practice for herself near Tualatin before joining. She’s so well-liked and amazing at her job that she has patients who drive over an hour to see her. Also, she’s our resident Pokemon expert (she holds our Brave Care Poke gyms—who wants to battle?)
Joanna Zamora

Joanna has a wealth of experience as a pediatrician. She’s compassionate, kind, an excellent listener and extremely patient. Dr. Z routinely goes above and beyond for every single one of her patients.

Along with the most available hours for in-person care, at Brave Care you get the benefit of having access to our entire care team who will give your child personalized and empathetic care.
