Wednesdays: Baby Blues Connection - Wednesday Day - time group for parents

Bimonthly group feeding class where parents who are having issues with lactation, bottle feeding, and pumping can get help with basic problems.  There will be no comprehensive examinations or flange fittings during this group. If a baby needs further assessment a full lactation consult will be recommended. Should a full consult be necessary, you will receive $20 off the consult price.

May  5th: Introduction to Solids with Baby With Me Therapy - Occupational & Physical Therapy

A series of 1-hour workshops based on The Whole-Brain Child by Dr. Dan Siegel and Dr. Tina Payne Bryson. In this group we will work together with other parents and a professional expert to learn techniques for dealing with everyday parenting struggles as well as brain-based ways to nurture your child’s growth and development.

May 6th: Integrating Brain and Body to Solve Tough Parenting Challenges - with Rebekah Springs of The Real Work

May 20th: Your Birthing Day: One-Day Intensive Childbirth Class with Hānau Doula and The Forty-Day Doula 

This one-hour workshop is perfect for anyone who is interested in learning these life-saving skills, and doesn’t require formal certification. After completion of this workshop, you will feel confident in your skills using an AED, performing CPR, as well as utilizing choking relieving techniques on an infant and child. You will feel empowered and prepared to face an emergency and step in until help arrives.

May 21st: Child Safety - CPR/Choking Workshop with The Mama Coach Alexandra

Child Massage Workshop - This is a sweet learning experience for parent and child together ( ages 5-11). Attendees will learn how to give and receive massages to support bonding, bedtime routines, and co-regulation. Great especially for children who crave lots of touch; those who could practice using their hands for helping others; and those who could use new tools for calming their bodies. 

June 3rd: Parent - Child Massage Workshop - with Mama Needs Massage

Join The Crafty Montessorian, for drop-in art classes every Wednesday in April and May.

Each week we will focus on a different craft to stimulate the parts of the brain that are most active in young children.

You will be amazed at what your child can accomplish when given the opportunity to create without limits, and you don’t have to worry about the mess.

Newborn PIP groups are for parents with newborns ages 2 to 16 weeks. Groups last for 10 weeks. All groups cover the following five topics:

- Early Development and Learning
- Emotional Changes and Challenges 
The topics for the remaining five weeks are determined as a group together with your volunteer group leader.

From the birthing parent's diapers to baby diapers, we cover it all in this class. Newborn Care is meant to help prepare parents for the immediate postpartum time, through getting home, settling in, infant soothing, and more!

May 17th: Newborn Care Class with Austin Doula Care/Chelsea Greenwald

During the 90-minute class, we discuss the benefits of infant massage, baby massage oils, where and when to massage, and learn massage strokes and techniques you can use with your newborn and adapts as he or she grows. We will cover specific strokes to help with gas, colic and constipation, teething, and nasal congestion. This class is baby-centered, relaxed, and fun but aims to be informative and helpful.

This is a 2-hour class for folks to come prep their relationship for what's to come with welcoming a new member into the family.

As a provider, you can further support your clients by gaining this basic knowledge. Learn practical strategies and insights for an empowered birth and postpartum experience including:

Scar healing and management: why it's important and introductory techniques

Practical tips on how to care for mom, partners, and a newborn after C-section.

May 22nd: Undraping the C-section: Preparing your clients for surgery an recovery with Matrescence OT

In this 1 hour workshop, you will learn the ins and outs of carseat safety. In your time with Chelsea, CPST, you will gain tools to make sure your carseat is installed correctly, how to ensure your child is in the right seat for their age and development, and how to know when to move them to the next seat as well as how to ensure they are fitted to the seat properly.

May 23rd: Carseat Safety with Austin Doula Care/Chelsea Greenwald

This class focuses on the care of the newborn. We will cover surviving the first few weeks, crying/how to calm baby, bathing, feeding, swaddling, diapering, and sleep. This class is perfect for expectant parents and grandparents.

June 25th: Hustle & Flow - Back to Work Lactation Class with It's More Than Milk Lactation Services

A new parenting paradigm based on science and attachment - Please join us for this donation-based support group led by Mishka Willis, Peaceful Parenting Coach. Each week, we will go over a Peaceful Parenting Topic and have time to connect with each Caregiver and hear how your week is going, and provide feedback and support. We will do a lot of connecting with other friends as well, creating a safe space for children and caregivers to build community. Your child will leave this session with five new books to take home.
