Amanda Johnson, PA-C
Physician Assistant • She/Her
I was raised in a small town- Mabank, TX. I attended college at Texas A&M, PA school at UTMB in Galveston, and I have lived in Austin for the past 7 years. During that time, I have been working as a PA in a busy Emergency Department. When I am off I like to travel, eat good food, and play outside. I enjoy pretty much all outdoor pursuits- water sports, snow sports, climbing, cycling, paddling, hiking- and I am a master of none. I also have a husband, dog, and 1 year old baby that are all pretty cute.

Why I love working with kids
I love the resiliency of kids, and the way they are able to appreciate the small stuff.
Why I chose to work in medicine
Through the experience of an immediate family member fighting an aggressive cancer, I realized how necessary it is to have a healthcare team that is persistently compassionate. Even small actions and kindness have the opportunity to make such a positive impact in ways that we cannot even know.
The type of families I love working with most
Due to my experience in the Emergency Department, I enjoy caring for patients experiencing acute care illnesses.
