New parent group with Hānau Doula
We are excited to have partnered with Marnellie Bishop/Hānau Doula to have weekly new parent groups in our community room! This is an inclusive space for parents and caregivers with little one from as young as a week or two old up until to their first birthday. This is an opportunity to meet and connect with others in a similar season of life and to build long lasting friendships.
When: Wednesdays from 10:30am - 12pm

Marnellie Bishop (she/her) is a certified birth and postpartum doula and childbirth educator. Marnellie has additional training as an Evidence Based Birth® Instructor and Hypnobabies® Hypno-Doula. She also serves the Portland, OR community as a board member and Director of Finance & Operations at Community Doula Alliance.
"My desire to support growing families started when I became a mother. I was fortunate enough to have a good support network in place and it really helped me have a positive experience. In observing other birthing individuals and their journey, I was disappointed to see the lack of support and care and judgment placed upon them. A birthing individual has a unique power and ability to carry and birth another living being. We should honor, uplift and support one another during such a significant life change. I believe we should equip young families and parents with helpful tools to successfully and confidently navigate into and through parenting."
