Preventing a Sore Throat or Cold
Colds and sore throats, even though we think of these things as less severe illnesses, are some of the most financially impactful medical issues on a national scale.
Given the impact of these illnesses, you may be wondering if it's possible to prevent a sore throat or cold. Well, researchers have been searching for an answer to this very question for decades, and along the way, they've looked at everything from zinc to vitamin C, to multivitamins to probiotics. But do any of these solutions work? Unfortunately, the jury is still out on whether they have any effect at all. Luckily though, there are some easy everyday things you can do to give yourself the best chance of staying happy and well.
