In most cases you can pay out of pocket for your visit if you are uninsured or your insurance provider is out of network for Brave Care. If you are insured by a plan that is in network with Brave Care, we are obligated to bill your insurance. 

If you have a plan through medicaid that is not in network with Brave Care, we will be unable to provide you care and your visit will not be eligible for out of pocket billing. 

Brave Care accepts some medicaid plans at our Oregon clinics. If you have a medicaid plan which is out of network for Brave Care, you will not be eligible for pay out of pocket and we will be unable to provide you care. 

Tebra is Brave Care’s trusted billing and electronic health record partner. You may receive emails or invitations to the Tebra Portal on the behalf of Brave Care.

What do I do if I have a question about a bill?

Brave Care sends statements to you both your email and home address. You are able to pay online or by phone: 

         Pay Online: Follow the link in your statement email to the Tebra Online Payment Portal

         Pay by Phone:  Call (503) 300-4111 and select option 5 to pay your balance over phone

Brave Care has reasonable out-of-pocket rates for our medical services. We can work with you to determine your are eligible for a medical hardship payment plan.

Visits are eligible for self pay rates only if the patient is uninsured or has certain out of network insurance plans which are eligible for self pay. Patients insured by medicaid plans are not eligible for self pay. Brave care is obligated to bill all eligible insurance plans.
