We will bill your insurance for laboratory costs. For patients who are having laboratory work done and are paying out-of-pocket, we bundle these costs into the total visit fee. We contract with Quest Diagnostics for advanced laboratory testing. Quest diagnostics may charge an additional fee for laboratory tests, but they will submit those costs to your insurance company first. 

Brave Care performs many laboratory tests on site, including antigen testing for influenza (commonly known as the flu), streptococcal pharyngitis (commonly known as strep throat), COVID-19, and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV). We can also perform dipstick urine and urine pregnancy testing, mononucleosis (commonly known as mono) testing, blood sugar testing, hemoglobin testing, and more.

What labs can Brave Care perform on-site?

Test results are communicated to patients as soon as they are available.  Most tests not performed on site come back within 24 hours. Occasionally, tests will take several days to a week or so, depending on the test.
