Brave Care has implemented strong and effective policies and processes to ensure the protection of your medical records. This includes limiting access to records, using HIPAA-compliant software, and up-to-date training around privacy and security measures.

A photo ID is meant to guard against health insurance fraud, which can occur when a patient uses another person’s name, Social Security number, and date of birth to receive services billed to the victim of insurance fraud or the insurance provider.

Why does Brave Care need a copy of my photo ID?

We ask for this so we can collect payment for healthcare services and verify your identity when we need to access for medical records.

Why does Brave Care need a social security number?

Brave Care will NEVER share your information with anyone without the explicit written consent from the guardian on file.

Will my information be shared outside of Brave Care?

Brave Care may send marketing material related to events, pediatric health resources, or company updates. Brave Care may also send out periodic updates to terms of service and changes to our policies. You can always opt out of these, and more information is available in our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
