What types of providers will I see at Brave Care?

A PA is a physician assistant. A physician assistant is capable of providing the same level of care as a nurse practitioner or physician. Brave Care only employs the best and most well-trained pediatric providers.

An NP is a nurse practitioner. A nurse practitioner is capable of providing the same level of care as a physician assistant or physician. Brave Care only employs the best and most well-trained pediatric providers.

An MD is a Doctor of Medicine who has completed four years of medical school training.

A DO is a Doctor of Osteopathy who has completed four years of osteopathic physician training. Currently, there is little difference between an MD and a DO.

An MA is a Medical Assistant. Medical Assistants are a vital part of the care team and are helpful in measuring and administering medications, performing lab tests, screening the patients, collecting vital signs, and completing administrative duties such as answering the phones or helping families with billing questions.

An RN is a Registered Nurse. Registered Nurses complete programs after college that last anywhere from 2 to 4 years. Registered Nurses can help answer medical questions and are vitally important in every step of the patient care experience.

An RT/LXMO is a Radiologic Technologist or Limited X-ray Operation Technician.  They have specialized training and knowledge in performing all types of medical imaging, including x-rays.
